LAUREL — Howard Industries made its annual donation to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Angel Tree. Pictured are Pam Boler, Southeast sales manager/marketing at Howard Industries; Lt. Patrick Connelly with the Salvation Army; Michael Howard, president of Howard Industries Transformer Division; Lt. Stacey Connelly with the Salvation Army; and Laquanta Terry, a clerk at Howard Industries. “In these tough economic times, it’s uplifting to know that there has been no shortage of generosity for this year’s angel tree and canned food drive,” Michael Howard said. “There could not be a better way to celebrate the holidays than to help ensure that children and their families have a merry Christmas.” Howard Industries, which has approximately 3,000 employees, adopted 150 of the agency’s 1,400 angels and donated approximately 1,150 boxes of macaroni and cheese and 580 bags of corn meal for the needy families food boxes for Christmas. If a person, club or organization is interested in helping The Salvation Army serve those in need, they can contact The Salvation Army’s Administration Office at 601-428-4232.
